Covid-19

St Chad's is now open on Sundays for Holy Communion at 11 am.
(St Mary in the Baum is still closed.)

The service on Sunday 9 August will be led by Revd Canon Roger Hill.

We will be observing all the necessary social distancing and Church of England guidelines. 

There will be music but no singing, and also no refreshments served after the service.

Reduced seating in accordance with guidelines. 

* Please note that the wearing of face coverings in places of public worship will be compulsory as from 8 August 2020.

A free national phone line to bring worship and prayer into people’s homes while church buildings are closed because of the coronavirus has been launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Daily Hope offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. 

Please publicise the phone line to people you know who may not have access to the internet and live streamed services. 

The line is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044.
